The new 5th Street Station has become an instant favorite.  It features A.C. Moore Crafts, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Field and Stream, and Havertys to name a few.  For weekly grocery shopping Wegmans will have everything you need.  Wegmans works with local farms when possible to sell at their stores and offer an array of fresh foods options.  Their “EZ Power Meals” make meal planning a breeze!

If you are looking for a casual dining experience at a favorite local restaurant, Dr. Ho’s Humble Pie is the place to go.  Their hand crafted pizza is made from ingredients sourced from farms in Charlottesville and the surrounding area.  Dr. Ho’s has been a staple of Southern Albemarle since 1998.

Timberwood Tap House opened its doors in 2016 in the newly constructed 5th Street Station offering delicious homemade American food made from scratch.  They offer more than just great food; there are 32 craft beers on tap daily.  Sports packages including NFL Sunday Ticket, MLB Extra Innings, NHL Center Ice, and Premier League Football make this a perfect place to grab a burger, beer and a catch a game on the big screen.

Just south of the city you will find some of Charlottesville’s most popular attractions including Monticello and Carter Mountain.  The house and garden tour at Monticello is fascinating and beautiful.  On a nice day, you can walk the two mile trail to Carter Mountain for panoramic views of the Piedmont and Blue Ridge Mountains.  Carter Mountain is a favorite in Charlottesville offering fruit picking in the Spring, Summer and Fall.  Their homemade seasonal donuts are a must!

If you are up for an adventure, travel even further south to Pippin Hill Farm.  The views from their patio are amazing and their wine is worth the trip.  Their food offerings are delicious and the staff will help pair foods with the wines you have selected.  Pippin Hill cooking school is a great way to spend an evening with friends.  Before heading out on a weekend you will want to check their schedule as they often host weddings on Saturdays.

Stasia was very professional and friendly during our home buying experience. She helped us find houses to look at that met our requirements and was able to fill us in on information that we were not familiar with as first time home buyers.

Darian was there every step of the way to help us along! Even after we found the right home, Darian helped us through the actual purchase, mortgage application, home inspection, and closing. He always had extremely useful advice, encouragement, and endless knowledge about buying and owning a home.

Melissa is an outstanding real estate agent and a joy to work with. She took the time to understand our needs in a new home, worked tirelessly running down leads, and has stayed upbeat and positive during a difficult search. We not only consider her as our real estate agent, but a friend. Our experience has been so positive that we absolutely plan on working with Melissa in the future.

It was truly a pleasure to work with Amy. Not only is she knowledgeable and responsive, but she is patient and takes the time to explain the process of selling a home and makes you feel comfortable with what can be a very complicated process. Amy truly made the process easy for us and sold our property in a week.
