Construction Project at Route 29 and Rio Road

Construction Project at Route 29 and Rio Road

The interchange at U.S. 29 and Rio Road is one of several transportation improvements scheduled for the busy highway corridor in Albemarle County. This intersection has experienced high traffic, especially during rush hour and peak driving times. In conjunction with this project, U.S. 29 will be widened to further address traffic issues.
