Stasia Rice

stasia-rice-realtorHello and welcome! My name is Stasia Rice and I’m glad to have the chance to share a bit about myself with you. My closest friends and family know that I LOVE all things to do with homes and how important I feel they are in our lives. Like many of us, my home is a place of joy and comfort. It’s not just any house. It’s the place I spend the most important times of my day with the most important people in my life. We create memories and messes and tears and laughter here. I feel blessed when I can honestly say that my favorite place on earth is my front porch!

For me, real estate is a way to share this passion with others in a productive way. I am grateful for the opportunity to help you find that special place to call home or help others see why your home is where their next joyful memories should be made.

In many ways, my prior career in management consulting has prepared me for the important role a REALTOR plays in a real estate transaction. I apply the following skills to my approach in helping you achieve the best possible home buying or selling experience:

  • Listening and Observing: I’m going to warn you; I will be asking a lot of questions to really get to know you, your specific needs, and those important details that will help me understand the story of you and your home. I love fitting together all the pieces of the puzzle to create the full picture of you and what is most important to you when buying or selling your home.
  • Problem Solving: Once I have learned about your wants and needs, I can then go about identifying any potential barriers to the successful search or sale of your home. I’ll also be quick on my feet when those inevitable hiccups come along and proactively manage them with you. I love thinking creatively and using my natural resourcefulness and tenacity to attain your goals.
  • Project Management: I see my role as REALTOR as one who alleviates your stress during an important life event. I do that by providing clear, consistent and timely communication, and ensuring that I plan and prepare you for all the details. The more enjoyable this process is for you, the better I have done my job.
  • Being your Trusted Advisor: Know that you have someone in your corner who is armed with the knowledge, support and experience. I will provide you all the information you need to make the best decisions for you and your family.

A Few of My Favorite Things

  • My Favorite Holiday
Christmas. I love decorating our farmhouse with my husband and our 3 little boys. We have 6 mantles to decorate!! ☺ I love the anticipation of time with family, good food and cozy moments in front of the fire. We have often traveled during this holiday – so I also think of this as my time to see extended family and reconnect with those I love and miss.
  • A Perfect Saturday
Sleeping in followed by a cup of coffee in the hammock on our big front porch. Then- depending on the season, we either rally to see my three boys play football or soccer OR we would go hike a new trail in the Shenandoah National Forrest.
  • My Favorite Hobby
I love exploring my artistic side … and that can take many forms. In my copious amounts of spare time *ahem* – I love to paint, craft and do DIY renovations and interior design projects around our home. Sometimes I think Pinterest was made just for me.
  • My Favorite Team
I’ll admit it – I’m not terribly inclined toward sports. So, I’m learning all I know about sports as I watch my kids. So my favorite team is the Central Virginia Youth Football team – Go STORM!

  • “My wife and I hired Stasia to help us buy, what I am pretty certain will be, our home until retirement. Stasia provided us with all the details of the new home, as well as the neighborhood, which has turned out better than we could have imagined. Finding the right community in which to raise our two young children was of the utmost importance, and Stasia nailed it! Not only did Stasia assist us in our purchase, but she also helped us through the renovation and sale of our previous home. Stasia was instrumental in finding us help to complement our partial DIY renovation. She gave us great advice on important renovation details, and our house went under contract in less than a week! There are a few others I would recommend, and none more than Stasia. She puts in maximum effort and shows she really cares about her clients happiness and well-being throughout the entire process.” – Martine and Buddy
  • “I worked with Stasia over a period of six months. I had moved from Texas in January 2016 and was staying with my daughter and her family in Barboursville while house hunting. I knew in my mind what I wanted and the price range I wanted to stay within. Stasia listened and the search was on! We traveled in and out of several counties, enjoying a good cup of coffee and great conversation. One of the last areas we visited was Lake Monticello and Stasia reviewed lots of listings before setting up homes to tour. I remember her saying, “I think we might have found the ONE!” She nailed it! I love my home. It was exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend Stasia to anyone searching for a home in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas. Happy househunting!!” – Pat C.
  • “It was great working with Stasia to sell our home last year. She took great photos, held open houses, and communicated efficiently. The whole process was so simple because Stasia worked really hard to make sure everything happened (to include finding and overseeing a handyman to make last minute fixes after the home inspection). I highly recommend Stasia!” – Lewis Nelson
  • “We went into buying our first home blindsided. Stasia helped us understand all of the dynamics and worked very hard with us. We looked at multiple houses, some of those multiple times, which Stasia seemed more than happy to do! After finally deciding on the one we ran into more bumps in the road and Stasia was there every step of the way! If the time ever comes up that we would like to buy another house we will not be using any other real estate agent!” – Beth Caron
  • “Stasia was very professional and friendly during our home buying experience. She helped us find houses to look at that met our requirements and was able to fill us in on information that we were not familiar with as first time home buyers.” – Aaron Hale
  • “My wife Sylvia and I can’t express enough our appreciation for Stasia and her help with the purchase of our new home. Stasia provided numerous options to look at and always made herself available to us when we had questions or concerns. She took all the time we needed to view the homes in person, never rushed or gave us the impression she had other things to do. Stasia not only surpassed expectations on our new home purchase she also helped me find an apartment to live in temporarily while we searched for our new home.”
  • “I have already referred Stasia to several colleagues that are relocating to the Charlottesville area and they have also been thrilled with her service. We feel like we have more than a great Realtor in Stasia Rice, we also have a good friend.” -Neil James
  • “Stasia is a saving grace when it comes to the nonsensical housing market. I have never worked with a realtor more willing to do whatever it takes than she. Her professionalism and knowledge is beyond compare. Stasia was very patient with us as we were unsure which route to take and where to buy. During our home buying experience, I never felt as though I was out of the loop on anything regarding the process of buying our home. She will be our realtor when we buy our next home and I recommend her to every person I know.” -The McReynolds

Darian was there every step of the way to help us along! Even after we found the right home, Darian helped us through the actual purchase, mortgage application, home inspection, and closing. He always had extremely useful advice, encouragement, and endless knowledge about buying and owning a home.

Melissa is an outstanding real estate agent and a joy to work with. She took the time to understand our needs in a new home, worked tirelessly running down leads, and has stayed upbeat and positive during a difficult search. We not only consider her as our real estate agent, but a friend. Our experience has been so positive that we absolutely plan on working with Melissa in the future.

It was truly a pleasure to work with Amy. Not only is she knowledgeable and responsive, but she is patient and takes the time to explain the process of selling a home and makes you feel comfortable with what can be a very complicated process. Amy truly made the process easy for us and sold our property in a week.
